Lithology and Thickness

Gray, greenish-gray clays with interlayers of sandstones, shell limestones. Thickness 80-190m.

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Shirabad Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Karikansay Fm.

Contains ammonites - Karamaites gaurdakense (Lupp.), Mediasiaceras beliakovae Iljin; marine bivalve mollusks - Chlamys elongatus Lam., Korobkovitrigonia gaurdakensis Beliak., Lopha dichotoma Bayle, Rhynchostreon columbum (Lam.), Rh. chaperi (Bayle); gastropods Haustator (?) schirabadensis (Dzhal.), Sogdianella praesupernata (Dzhal.); foraminifers - Trochanmina kugitangensis N. Byk., Trochamminoides cenomanicus (Zhuk.); ostracods - Cytherella latissima Andrv., C. elegans Andrv., Cythereis gaurdakensis Andrv.; complex of spores and pollen.
